Abstract. Paddy field is an important agricultural land in Indonesia, as one of the largest rice producing-country in the world. At least 26 from 33 provinces in Indonesia are characterized by the existence of paddy field landscape. However, due to the increasing of population and development of infrastructure building, a conversion of paddy field rapidly occurs in many sites. This study aimed to examine the dynamics change in paddy field in Karawang District-West Java during the period of 1994-2015. The method used in this study mainly by the remote sensing technique using satellite images data. The result indicated that conversion of paddy fields to built area/infrastructure in Karawang is approximately 10.326,6 ha. It took up 56% from the paddy that were changed. Based on the result, the changes are likely to occur in the middle of karawang district, near the central city. This result showed the change of paddy field in 1994 converted into some built-up areas such as settlement or roads in 2015. However, about 85.597,56 ha paddy field is not changed during these period. The study showed that paddy fields landscape is facing a changes over the last two decades.

Abstract

Worldwide, sustainable agriculture in the form of integrated farming with its LEISA (Low External Input Sustainable Agriculture) concept has brought a positive impact on agriculture development and ambient amelioration. But, most of the small farmers in Indonesia did not know how to put the concept of it and how to combine agricultural commodities on the site effectively and efficiently. This research has an aim to promote integrated farming (agrofisheries, etc) to the farmers by designing the agricultural landscape to become integrated farming landscape as medium of education for the farmers. The method used in this research is closely related with the rule of design in the landscape architecture science. The first step is inventarization for the existing condition on the research site. The second step is analysis. Then, the third step is concept-making that consists of base concept, design concept, and developing concept. The base concept used in this research is sustainable agriculture with LEISA. The concept design is related with activity base on site. The developing concept consists of space concept, circulation, vegetation and commodity, production system, etc. The fourth step as the final step is planning and design. This step produces site plan of integrated farming based on LEISA. The result of this research is site plan of integrated farming with its explanation, including the energy flow of integrated farming system on site and the production calendar of integrated farming commodities for education and agri-tourism opportunity. This research become the right way to promote the integrated farming and also as a medium for the farmers to learn and to develop it.

ABSTRACT

Farmers access to agricultural science and technology are often constrained in spite of present achievement of information technology which not being doubtful. Therefore, there is a need to provide facilities closed and able to help the farmers accepting agricultural information in a wide meaning. This research reported here was aimed to (1) conduct survey on farming and farmer preference to integrated agriculture, (2) initiate the development of Field Studio on Integrated Agriculture (FSIA) through planting supporting feed crops, and (3) write leaflets on integrated farming of crops, livestock, and fish cultures based on LEISA approach. Survey results show the existence of interest of the North Pangulah Village, Kota Baru Sub-district, Karawang District, farmers to practice integrated farming. The initiation of FSIA has been executed by introducing paddy-paddy-mungbean cropping pattern. In supporting the integrated farming systems proposed,  coconut, banana, Leucaena, jackfruit,  Glyricidia, and king grass has been planted at the site and 10 leaflets on LEISA has been written. It is concluded that the FSIA should be developed continually and its socialization should be executed immediately  to farmer groups at related village.

ABSTRACT
Agriculture is the one of the important sector that contributes the economic growth in Indonesia. But, now the economic growth is not in line with the agricultural land growth and the prosperity of the farmer. The effort to develop the agricultural sector which engage the farmer is the one thing that we can do to increase the prosperity of the farmer. Integrated farming give us the big opportunity to increase the farmer’s income in the village. Basically, the integrated farming is the agricultural system which characterized with the interaction and synergy dependability between various agricultural activities. The methode of this research is descriptive methode, using various reference books to get information about integrated farming. Then, applying the information to concept and concept development. Activity base is the main concept of this research, and the result of this research is integrated farming landscape.

Of English as Foreign Language), IELTS, dsb.

Silahkan dicek ya temen-temen, niatnya ngebantuin sekaligus promosi (gpp kn ya ^_^). Bagi yang bingung, khawatir, ragu, terkait postingan saya ini, silahkan langsung tanyakan aja via BBM sy (51D4AC5D) atau komen di postingan ini, akan saya bantu, InsyaAllah.
